Call for Donations - Walk 4 Hearing

Dear readers,

I recently started a team to take on the challenge of participating in the Walk4Hearing produced by the Hearing Loss Association of America. This Walk4Hearing is a 5K walk-a-thon that takes place in many cities around the United States, including Houston on Saturday, November 7th.

The purpose of the Walk4Hearing is to increase awareness about the causes and consequences of hearing loss and to raise funds to provide information and support for people with hearing loss. Raising awareness about deafness or hearing loss will help remove the stigma associated with it, and increase support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

That means strengthening educational programs for students, providing interpreting services, captioning for TV, movies, and Internet video, making hearing aids and cochlear implants more affordable, and helping deaf and hard of hearing people fulfill their life potential.

I'm asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation. You can make your donation online by simply clicking on the following link:

Your support is much appreciated and I will update this blog on my progress. I will also take pictures of the walk-a-thon and post them here.
